“I can tell you that it’s going to be black”

And just like that, President of the Boston Bruins, Cam Neely, broke the hearts of many fans that dreamed of an old school, brown and gold jersey for the Bruins to wear at the 2016 Bridgestone Winter Classic.

Neely told season ticket holders on Thursday night’s State of the Bruins event that the Winter Classic jersey has been completed, and he believes fans will love it. “I’d love to be able to show you the jersey. It’s completed,” Neely went on to say “My guess is our fans will love the jersey. The great thing about our organization is the history that we have and the amount of jerseys that we’ve worn over the years.”

I wasn’t a fan of the Bruins 2011 Winter Classic jerseys when they faced off against the Philadelphia Flyers at Fenway Park. Compared to the Blackhawks and Redwings jerseys from when they played at Wrigley Field in 2009, or the Penguins jerseys from 08’ at Ralph Wilson Stadium, I personally thought Neely and the Bruins could have done a much better job at designing the 2011 jerseys.

Here are some Jersey designs I would like to have seen the Bruins wear in this years, Bridgestone Winter Classic at Gillette Stadium.
