BJ Neverett to Manage Silver Knights in 2016

Nashua, NH – The Nashua Silver Knights are excited to announce that William “BJ” Neverett will return as Manager of the Silver Knights in 2016.

Neverett managed the Silver Knights back in 2012, leading them to their second Futures Collegiate Baseball League Championship in two years, earning him the 2012 FCBL Manager of the Year.

The Nashua native, Neverett is entering his sixth season in the FCBL and has been with the Silver Knights since the league’s inaugural season in 2011, where he served as assistant coach. Neverett has been the Silver Knight’s Director of Player Personnel for the past five seasons.

Outside of the Silver Knights, Neverett remains involved within the Nashua community and is currently in his 32nd year with the Nashua School District.

Neverett was the head coach of the Nashua High School baseball team for 17 seasons, leading them to two Division 1 State Championships in 2001 and 2005. Along with coaching baseball, Neverett was an assistant coach on the football team at Nashua High School for 22 years.

“I look forward to coming back to manage in 2016. I missed managing the best franchise in the Futures League,” said Neverett. “It was hard for me at times putting the team together and not seeing the fruits of the labor. I will be very excited to get this team back on the field and to get our fans energized about the Silver Knights again”.

“BJ is the kind of guy we want putting together our roster and leading them on the field in the summer months,” said Silver Knights General Manager Ronnie Wallace. “His knowledge and excitement for the game is unmatched in the FCBL. We truly are blessed to have BJ be such an integral part of our organization and its continued success as we enter season number six”.

The Silver Knights are the 2011 and 2012 Champions of the Futures Collegiate Baseball League of New England.
