The New England Patriots improved to 7-0 on the season with a convincing win over the Miami Dolphins.  Coming into the game the talk around the league was could the Dolphins who were 2-0 under Dan Campbell, the answer, NOT AT ALL!  Under the guidance of Tom Brady who threw another four touchdown passes the Patriots dominated once again.

The Patriots defense played very well all night long Chandler Jones was again a dominate force on the defensive line. Jones who lead the NFL with 8.5 sacks on the season, was part of a defensive line that dominated the Dolphins.  Reality hit Miami, they were going against the best team in the NFL not the Pop Warner teams known as the Texans and Titans.  The defense forced two turnovers, both by former Rutgers players, Duron Harmon and Logan Ryan.  Ryan has been playing very well this season and is now a very solid corner. All game long he completely covered his opponent with blanket coverage. Perhaps the most impressive stat was the Pats holding Miami to just 16 yards on 13 carries.  For the last two weeks Lamar Miller has been on fire, but the Patriots shut him completely down.

The Patriots went into half time winning 19-0. The Fins were able to march down the field to score a TD making it 19-7.  After a New England field goal, it was all Patriots.  The highlight of how well the defense played came after the Dolphins returned the ball to the 50 yard line, back to back sacks took any momentum the Fins might have had and crushed it.  Tom Brady and the offense took over once again and scored two touchdowns both to Julian Edelman in the second half.

Up next for the Pats will be a nice 10 day rest, as they will try to get their offensive line healthy. Rookie Tre Jackson was injured in the second half. Reinforcement are on the way as Bryan Stork is eligible to come off the short term injured reserve list.  The Patriots will play the Washington Redskins on November 9th.
