With 20 seconds left in the the Celtics Monday night matchup with Utah and a one point lead, the Jazz got the ball in the hands of their best offensive player Gordon Hayward. With about 19 seconds left, Avery Bradley put the ball on his hand, swatting Gordon’s chance to play hero and gave his Celtics the 100-95 win.
Clutch shooting by Jae Crowder and pristine passing by Marcus Smart were also instrumental in Boston’s 11th straight win at TD Garden.
- The Celtics struggled with Utah’s Rudy Golbert and tried to combated him with rookie Jordan Mickey. The LSU product played just 7 minutes but was effective scoring 3 points to go with 3 rebounds and 2 blocks.
- Isaiah Thomas and Avery Bradley both chipped in 18 points. Thomas had 9 assits on 50% shooting from the floor.
The C’s will try to make it 12 straight home wins on Wednesday when the Portland Trailblazers roll into town.
