Bruins GM Don Sweeney announced today, March 1, that the team has recalled forward Noel Acciari from the Providence Bruins. Acciari is expected to make his NHL debut Tuesday night, against the Calgary Flames at the TD Garden.

Acciari played three seasons for the Providence College before making his way to the NHL, leading the team to a National Championship victory in 2014-15, where he was also named Hockey East Defensive Forward of the Year.

A native of Johnston, Rhode Island, the 5’10”, 208-pound forward was signed by the Bruins as a free agent on June 8, 2015.

In 42 games with the baby B’s this season, Acciari has added seven goals and 12 assists for 19 points with 17 penalty minutes and a plus-8 rating. Acciari is a big, strong forward who will be a great addition to the Bruins fourth line.
